Look of the Week: Dressed up Classy at Beatniks Bistro

What better way to spend a spring afternoon than sitting on the bistro patio sipping wine and snacking on tasty yam fries? Beatniks Bistro in Fort Langley is right on the main drag, from which you can people watch, and if you head inside you'll find a delightfully funky interior. It's the perfect place to lounge with good company. In case you're thinking of popping in for a bite to eat, definitely get the yam fries: that chipotle dip is amazing!

I'm already breaking in my thrifted Aldo pumps as you can see. Like my cobalt heels, they really are quite high- going to take some getting used to. I couldn't help but forgo the colour for this shoot and go back to my beloved classic black and white. I've been meaning to style this Zara skirt for a long time, and have finally found the best way to wear this midi skirt is with a loose-fitting shirt that can drape over the belted waist. By the way, if you're looking for some great statement pieces like my cameo necklace, make sure you don't miss the Richmond Night Market this summer. Jewelry sells for on average $8 a piece for a necklace like mine. I got a gorgeous Eiffel Tower necklace from there as well (that I wore here), and I love it to death!

We finished up our shoot literally just as the fattest raindrops started falling. I suppose we were lucky it held out that long!
