Luxe Lash Love with ESQIDO False Eyelashes

I used to be really good with false lashes when I was younger. We used to wear them to high school dances and at-home photo shoots for fun. I remember them being so easy to put on! What happened in the last 10 years? I have no idea, but I totally lost my knack for applying false lashes. So I was more than happy to receive the help of Brenda of ESQIDO false eyelashes to get me back on the lash lover train.

The look of these mink lashes alone had me swooning. Because I don't wear lashes very often, it definitely feels like a luxe treat - and these lashes certainly have the look of luxury! Even the ESQIDO eyelash glue, with its rose gold cap, looks like a fancy lip gloss you can't help but want. The glue is also latex-free, for those of you who are allergic to latex. I ended up choosing the BFF false eyelashes, which are a medium-volume lash. I tried all of different lash styles while at Holt Renfrew, using their ingenious "lash monocles" - you can get a look that those on my Instagram here. If you're planning to wear them for everyday, and not just special occasions, I recommend going for one of the lighter volume lashes, like Little Black Lash (and isn't the name just the sweetest?).

I had a wedding to attend this past weekend (aboard a yacht, no less!), so I decided to incorporate the BFF lashes into my Grecian-inspired look. I keep my usual cat-eye style, but added some golden hues and finished off with the fluttery lashes. No blush, just a nice contour and highlight, and a glowy nude pout.

The lashes went on super smoothly thanks to Brenda's tips (wait for the glue to start to get tacky, and hold a mirror facing up in your lap), and I applied with a set of tweezers. They added just the right amount of volume without looking too thick and over the top. If you don't wear false lashes on the regular, it takes some time to get used to, so do some practice rounds before the big day, if you know when you plan to wear them. The lashes last for about 20 uses, which for someone like me who is always looking for a bargain, I find is a good lifespan. One more pro tip: don't rip your lashes off! Use makeup remover on a Q-tip, and dab along the lash line, until the lashes begin to come off by themselves. That will extend the lifespan of your lashes!

What do you think? Do you like wearing false lashes every day, or do you save them for special occasions?
