Best Blushes For Summer

I love adding more colour to my cheeks during the summer months. That flushed look suits the summer heat, and I love changing it up depending on my mood: from bronzer/blush, to bright pink, to coral or creamy orange. I've picked out my favourites to share with you today! And best of all: you can find them at your local London Drugs drugstore (because I'm not big on breaking the bank when it comes to beauty).

e.l.f. Studio Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder ($4.99 at London Drugs):

How perfect is it that the blush and bronzer come in the same handy compact? The blush is a nice soft pink tone, that pairs so nicely with the warmed-toned bronzer. When I wear bronzer, I like to take it easy on the blush, and these two are just perfectly suited together. And at just under $5, you can't go wrong!

Revlon Cream Blush in Coral Reef ($5.99 at London Drugs):

I got inspired to try a cream blush after working on this beauty tutorial for London Drugs earlier this summer. In the video, blogger Brittany of Life Set Sail shows you the perfect technique for applying creamy blush for a naturally flushed: by dabbing with your fingers from the apple of the cheek along the cheekbone and up the temple. I use that application with this blush, and I just love the coral shade of this Revlon Cream Blush.

NYX Ombre Blush in Sweet Spring (in-store at London Drugs):

This is an exciting new launch at London Drugs! If I'm looking for a bigger punch of colour, this is the one I've been reaching for. The NYX Ombre Blush has a perfectly paired gradient of two shades, in this case a lighter and brighter pink.

Cargo Cosmetics Blush in Laguna ($26.00 at London Drugs):

When I first looked at buying this blush, I worried it was just far too bright - that it would look clownish on. Little did I know it would become my all-time favourite summer blush! Just remember to dab off a bit after picking up the powder on your brush. Then apply to the apples of your cheeks for a nice dose of orange colour.

Happy Styling! xo
