Travel Style Diary: Paris Part 1

It was a long wait before I was finally able to see Paris again - a 12 year gap, in fact. The first time, I was only in the city of Paris for 2 days, so this time, with 5 full days to walk and explore the city, I know we'd see much, much more (and eat more too!). After all that time, Paris most definitely did not disappoint.

We stayed in an AirBNB in the area of Montparnasse, a quaint little apartment with the most adorable balconies, complete with table for morning cafe au lait and a good croissant. That became our usual breakfast...at least until we discovered the crepe restaurant, Ty Breiz, which became a regular stop. This place seriously has the BEST crepes in all of Paris. If you have a chance to stop by, make sure to try their Salted Caramel crepe.

The metro got us around to all the major attractions, although we decided to wander to find the Eiffel Tower; not a hard feat, when you can see it from pretty much anywhere. It was insanely crowded though, which definitely felt a bit off-putting. It was still worth seeing up close again, nonetheless, especially with the fall leaves everywhere around us. Below ground, there's just as much to see. We took a walking tour through the catacombs of Paris: definitely a sobering experience when you see their sheer size.

This was just the very first part of our time in Paris...more next week!
