Skincare Review: Bioderma's Sensibio Line

I've been reviewing Bioderma's 3 skincare lines over the last couple of weeks, and today I finish it off with taking a test run of their Sensibio line for sensitive skin! I've never thought of my skin as particularly sensitive, but with my super pale skin, I must admit, it can be easy for my skin to redden if it gets aggravated. The Sensibio line features Bioderma's Toléridine patent, which inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory molecules, making skin less reactive (buh-bye redndess!).

Below, I take a closer look at some of their popular Sensibio products, including their micellar solution, Sensibio H20Sensibio 3-in-1 cleansing milk, and Sensibio Tolerance cream.

If you're looking for a makeup remover that wipes away makeup, dirt and impurities easily, but also doesn't irritate your skin or eyes, this Sensibio H20 micelle solution is perfect. The solution has no noticeable scent, and a non-oily texture, which is an absolute must for me. The best part? Because it's a micelle solution, it cleanses as well as removes makeup - so if I'm feeling particularly lazy, I don't need to use a separate cleanser afterwards.

This was my first time using a cleansing milk, and to be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect! As opposed to the micelle solution, the Sensibio 3 in 1 Milk has a thicker, creamy texture, and it seemed a little strange that something with that texture wouldn't need to be rinsed off afterwards. I gave it a shot: I put a few drops on a cotton pad, wiped my eye makeup, and it all came off in a few easy swipes! The coolest thing was that as I swiped, the white milky texture turned transparent, and left no residue behind at all. This girl is now a fan of cleansing milks!

After using a variety of skincare products for acne-prone skin for months now, it was definitely a breath of fresh air to use a cream so light weight and soothing! The Sensibio Tolerance+ cream aims to neutralize cutaneous hypersensitivity, so the formulation is great for intolerant or allergic skin. What I thought was particular interesting about Tolerance+ is that it claims to increase the skin's tolerance level. As I mentioned earlier, I don't have super sensitive skin, but I have noticed that the redness in my face has decreased since I started using Tolerance+ a few weeks ago.

This treatment features Neurocontrol, which reduces the hyperexcitability of the skin's nerve fibres and regulates the biological mechanisms responsible for the intolerance: tightness and discomfort gone!

If you're travelling, the mini bottles of Bioderma's micelle solution are adorable! But let's be honest, for day-to-day, I need that giant 500ml bottle.

Overall verdict: Give it a try!

I thought the texture of the Sensibio 3-in-1 Cleansing Milk was really intriguing, and very effective! I would definitely buy this once my micellar solutions run out, as I found it just as effective. Bioderma actually also has makeup remover wipes (always super handy), but while other people I know love them, they didn't seem to remove my eye makeup much at all.

The Tolerance+ cream is also going to stay in my cabinet for when my skin is in need of a little TLC. I loved the lightweight formula, and when my skin seems irritated, it's great to know I have a cream on hand to keep it under control.

Skincare Review: Bioderma's Hydrabio Line

Anyone else fighting the dry skin fight this winter too? Never has it been as big of an issue as this season! Which is why I was all for trying out a line of skincare whose primary focus is hydrating the skin - this girl can use all the help she can get!

Bioderma's Hydrabio skincare line features the Aquagenium patent, which stimulates the skin's cellular capacities and reactivates its natural hydration process. Keep on reading to get a closer look at the Hydrabio H20 micellar solution and Hydrabio Sérum and see what they can do!

I'm already a big fan of Bioderma's Sébium micellar solution, which is for oily, blemished skin. Same as the Sébium H20, the Hydrabio H20 takes off all my makeup with ease, and is very gentle on the skin. Even my eyeliner that has my Urban Decay Eye Potion underneath comes off in a swipe! I also love the fact that with a micellar solution, it's a cleanser all-in-one, so if I skip a full face wash, no guilt!

Now this right here, is going on my skincare favourites of all-time list! The Bioderma Hydrabio Sérum has become an essential in my winter skincare routine, and seems to be the only thing that really stops my skin from drying out. Without it, my foundation tends to dry out by lunch. With the serum underneath, my foundation looks great all day! I also recommend mixing the serum right into your foundation for an extra boost of hydration.

Here's what the consistency of the serum looks like when first applied to the skin. It's a clear, slightly watery consistency.

Here is what the serum looks like when lightly blended into the skin. Leave it for a few seconds, and skin feels instantly fresh and hydrated!

Overall verdict: Give it a try!

Micellar solutions are the only makeup remover I use now, and the Bioderma H2O is a great one. But my absolute favourite from the Hydrabio line is their Sérum. I would definitely purchase this when the bottle runs out to keep my dry skin under control during the winter months.
