Happy Chinese New Year!
I thought I'd wear a red and gold themed outfit today in honour of the New Year. It isn't hard to find red in my wardrobe, but I even managed to find a red Chinese-inspired piece I've had for a very long time. The buttons along the left shoulder are just a taste of what a real Cheongsam dress would be like.
My favourite interpretation of the Cheongsam was designed by Alexander McQueen and worn by actress Anna Paquin a few years back. You can see it
here. I would love to buy a real one eventually!
