Look of the Week: Polished City Girl

I wouldn't exactly call myself a foodie, but I get very excited about trying new places to eat in Vancouver...and some I get excited about going back to over and over again! If you haven't tried Meat and Bread on Cambie and Hastings, this is your kick in the pants: go try it! It's simple and it's gooooood. We tried one of each of their sandwiches: porchetta, spicy meatball, and grilled cheese.

As for my look, it was one of the nicer days we've had in Vancouver as far as summer goes, so naturally a dress was in order. I picked up this Calvin Klein number at Ross Dress for Less in Washington (one of my favourite stores to hit when I'm in the States). I compare it to Winners but much, much cheaper! And you'll notice I've got those BCBG nude pumps on again. They are my most versatile new pair of shoes, and they give any look a polished finish. I might add that I walked all day in those shoes and I survived pretty well, with the addition of a few blisters. Not too bad considering the height! The purse used to be my mom's; I think she might want it back now that it's been given new life...

Finally we ended off the day with a stop at Society in Yaletown for drinks. Now, when you see the photo of it you'll probably be wondering where the drink is: it's under that massive pile of cotton candy!
