Look of the Week: Ruby Slippers

I shared with you a DIY for making these ruby slippers on Valentine's Day, so I thought today I would share with you how I would wear them! The weather was very kind to us this past week, so I was able to pull out my straw fedora for a light, spring look. The combination of stripes with a hat like this is makes for a Parisian style. Add some vivid red lips to seal the deal! Red, white, and black are my go-to colour combination for a look that is both feminine and timeless.

If you find yourself to not really be a jewelry person, but want to jazz up your clothes somehow, consider looking for embellished pieces like this Zara sweater I thrifted. The shoulders are bedazzled with beads and jewels to give a fierce look to an otherwise tame sweater. You don't have to shy away from combining chunky jewelry and embellishments, though: go all out!

  2. another gorgeous outfit from you. it's slightly casual with those jeans but at the same time super classy because of the fedora, those glamorous heels, sequin clutch and embellished top.
I always enjoy seeing your outfits. and how beautiful are the mountains in the background!
