Look of the Week: Fall & winter fashion staple, the faux fur vest

This is from a little while back now, when I checked out the annual Cranberry Festival in Fort Langley. This is always my favourite event to kick off the fall/winter season; the streets are full of tasty homemade treats, handmade gifts & trinkets, and of course there are cranberries in bulk packs being sold in front of city hall. You can't help but get excited for the season of family turkey dinners, chilly walks, and cozy sweaters!

I'm a big fan of faux fur; it has this luxuriously cozy look and feel to it that make it such an iconic part of fall/winter fashion. It made for the perfect statement piece over my thrifted cashmere sweater and vintage-looking Olive + Piper knot necklace. My favourite oufit colour palette at the moment is a mix of cream, wine, cognac and olive, all of which I incorporated here. Ankle boots are the perfect way to amp up the style without sacrificing comfort; I can walk in these ones all day! If you haven't been before, mark down October 10th 2015 in your calendar! You don't want to miss it next year.

Clothing: Vest-Seduction(via Sirens), Sweater-Neiman Marcus(thrifted), Necklace-Olive+Piper, Pants-Urban Planet(similar here), Boots-Guess, Purse-Steve Madden(via Winners)

I look forward to this all year: tire!! French Canadian treat of pure maple syrup on snow, from Maples Sugar Shack

The sweet tooth runs in the family...me and the not-so-little bro

Of course, I had to snag some macarons from my favourite Little White House

 Happy Styling! xo
