I am very excited to introduce to all of you Vancouver Vogue's newest contributing writer, Helen Siwak of Kitsilano Kitty's Closet!
Helen is a life-long thrifting maven with an unbelievable knack for finding luxury and vintage designer clothing, a skill she has used to build her eco-friendly fashion shop, Kitsilano Kitty's Closet. She's also a talented writer, covering local fashion events including two seasons of Vancouver Fashion Week and VALT. She'll be bringing all kinds of great event coverage, interviews and other captivating fashion content and personalities your way here on Vancouver Vogue!
After decades of thrifting for fun and friends, Helen (and her Greek partner in life, Vlassis) decided to start a new business re-selling online. They began thrifting for treasures, attending estate sales, auctions and even yard sales looking for top notch and unique product. Three years later, fashion has taken over their lives and they are now on the hunt for a retail space with great character to house their collection of unique, eclectic and sometimes eccentric pieces!
Helen and Vlassis are lovers of cool fashion which blends new with old, great deals, quick and easy vegan cooking, animal rescue and raising eco-consciousness through their efforts.
So say hello to Helen, and check back for new posts by her on Vancouver Vogue!
Happy Styling! xo
