Every year, we do a big waffle breakfast with my extended family on the Easter Sunday. It used to be more about the Easter egg hunt (aka chocolate extravaganza), but with one one little one in the family now, it's pretty much all about the waffle breakfast. Easter weekend always feels like the real kick-off of Spring for me, so my style usually reflects that. Pretty florals and pastels make a big appearance.
This year's Easter weekend look features two of my favourite new Spring pieces: a light pink coat with frilled sleeves from Zara and a fit and flare palm print dress from eShakti. Flared and bell sleeves are HUGE right now, and seeing as I'm not a big 70's or 90's fan, I wasn't super crazy about the trend. A lot of the bell-sleeved items I've seen have a boho feel to them, something I don't usually wear. But I came around when I found this coat: the sleeves are so pretty and feminine!
Fit and flare dresses like this are perfect for everything from Easter with the family, to weddings and afternoon tea. I've been falling hard for the tropical palm leaf print, so this dress was a must-have. And guess what? Would you believe you can get this dress, CUSTOM FIT to you...for a grand total of $60 at eShakti? Actually, it's even on sale right now for $55.99. Yes you heard that right: a custom fit dress for under a hundred bucks. And even better than that, I even got to choose if I wanted pockets or not (duh, yes), what length I wanted (above the knee), and neckline (original), and sleeve type (sleeveless). When it arrived in the mail, I realized it even came with little keepers to stop your bra straps from slipping down! What!
What are your plans for the Easter weekend?
