Look of the Week: Casual Sunday Style

Sunday is the weekend day you want to get out and enjoy yourself once all the errands have been run. Whether it's coffee with a friend, or a casual walk through town, you want to look your best. The key to weekend-wear is to be comfortably fashionable, and a great piece to help you look the part is a maxi dress/skirt. A word about this particular skirt: I'm generally considered of average height, which is not ideal for a skirt like this because it doesn't exactly elongate the legs. My quick fix? Nude heels! Next, pick out a slouchy sweater or sweatshirt to keep the look casual, and add some dramatic sunglasses and statement jewelry to amp up the glam. Now, I know it's not Sunday today, so you can make your outfit do double-duty and make it work for your study-wear as well! You can check out my original study-wear inspiration from last year too.

Queen Elizabeth Park made for a fantastic shoot on one particularly beautiful day last week. We teamed up with friend and Pin Up/burlesque dancer Lottie Libido to take some casual Spring photos. The fountain made for a very amusing backdrop- you can see some of our outtakes on the Vancouver Vogue Facebook Page!
