I took a step outside my comfort zone with this look today, and it was one of those occasions where it paid off! Sometimes you find when you try something new, you just feel awkward and not at all comfortable; when I goes right though, it feels like a fantastic new discovery! For me, the colour combination here is something I've never tried before (you know I love my red, white, and black). The layering I've done here is something you don't really see me try usually either. Now I'm happy I tried!
You'll recognize
this skirt from the
Betty Be Good shopping party I attended last week. I knew the second I tried it on that it was a winner, and I suppose so did everyone else, because they all started picking up one of the skirts too! I love the fullness of the skirt, and the contrasting black elastic that cinches and accentuates the waist. And
then we discovered it has pockets (
insert this reaction here)!! There are 2 of
Rachel's Lucky Red Skirt in stock, so get over there and grab one before they're gone!
It was an exceptionally windy day out yesterday, and quite quickly I found myself stuck sitting on the marble slab with my hands firmly holding down my skirt, for fear of pulling a 'Marilyn'. You can see the outtakes on the
Vancouver Vogue Facebook Page.
