The Fashionable Grand Wedding Fair

One of my besties is getting married (eeep! *tear*) so the two of us hopped on over to the Grand Wedding Fair at the Vancouver Convention Center this past Saturday to get some ideas and just have a girly day out. We signed up for every contest imaginable and my bestie tried on rings, checked out tuxes, and we watched the bridal runway show.

With some of the models from the wedding dress fashion show! Don't they look fantastic even off the runway?

What I didn't expect though, was stumbling upon some very lovely and fashionable ladies with whom we chatted and played dress up with for quite some time!

The first booth we found housed the fashionable accessories line Stella and Dot. Now, I've heard of them before in passing, but this was the first time I had seen their pieces up close and personal. I first noticed the beautiful coral necklace stylist Jessica Keiss was wearing. It looked fantastic in contrast with her black dress. She was kind enough to let me try it on, in addition to a few other prized pieces, including one necklace also worn by Katherine Heigl! Another favourite of mine was the necklace of infinite pearls...because what girl can ever have enough pearls?? I'm really looking forward to having a Stella and Dot trunk show before the wedding; it'll be a girly and fun way to shop for jewelry at home, and at the end of the night we'll get a bunch of fantastic freebies as well for our bride-to-be!

The second lovely lady was Betty of Betty Be Good, a clothing shop with a perfectly picked arangement of items for the fashionably sensible gal. You'll recognize her from one of my earlier photos; she also played MC for the Wedding Fashion Show and did a fantastic job (plus, wasn't her dress adorable??). She runs the online shop Betty Be Good and also hosts a showroom in South Surrey when she's not off at events like this. Betty had an assortment of perfectly adorable items for sale at the show, and I spotted a dusty pink vegan-leather (that's what Betty calls fake leather; I love it!) moto jacket that just had to be mine! I have a feeling you'll see me sporting it this week at Vancouver Fashion Week....

Sorry for the awkward face here- it's hard to talk and take photos as the same time...I'm sure we'll get a much better shot of the jacket this week!

Happy Styling! xo
