Thrifty Thursday

Black and red: my favourite colours! Perfect for fall.

Here's a bit of a departure from the usual peplum design. The volumous second layer is only made of tulle here! What really caught my eye, though, was the beaded detailing on the waist. This is the sort of thing I look for when I'm thrifting: something that really stands out!

Store: Value Village
Brand: Twelve by Twelve Los Angeles
Section: Short Skirts
What I Paid: $12.99
What it's Worth: $35.00

I will always be a fan of lace; it's so delicate and romantic. Here, it makes a basic shirt just a tad fancier (great for those days you want to look fancy but feel comfortable).

Store: Value Village
Brand: Red Haute
Section: Shirts
What I Paid: $6.99
What it's Worth: ~ $70

Right on trend! Leather (or fake leather, really) is on everybody's wish list this season, and while you can go out and spend a fortune on getting in on the trend, you can find all kinds of leather (and fake leather) designs in thrift stores in HIGH abundance! So take a look and see what you can find ;)

Store: Salvation Army
Brand: Dynamite
Section: Skirts
What I Paid: $5.99
What it's Worth: ?

Happy Styling! xo

  1. Holy crap! You really find the best stuff when you're thrifting. I love every single item -- especially the leather skirt and I can't believe you got it so cheap! I must be going to the wrong thrift stores...
